10 Cool Things About the 2012 Nissan Sentra

The 2012 Nissan Sentra is a stylish sedan starting from just over $16,000. Packed with new technology, but retaining the classic design that has made this version of the Nissan Sentra such a popular choice since it launched in 2007, the 2012 model is set to be incredibly popular. There are also a couple of sporty variants available, designed to keep the serious driving enthusiasts happy! Below are just a few of the coolest things about this groovy little sedan.

1) Great legroom.

A cool car is nice, but taller drivers don’t want their knees hunched up around their ears when they turn a tight corner. The 2012 Nissan Sentra has spacious seatwells which allow tall drivers and passengers alike the opportunity to enjoy their ride in comfort.

2) Feel the noise.

The Nissan Sentra’s audio system varies with the six trim levels available. By the time you get to the 2.0 SL, you’re looking at a Rockford Fosgate audio system with eight speakers!

3) Drive in comfort.

Leather upholstery might squeak a bit when you turn a sharp bend, but it’s cool. What’s even cooler is the option for heated leather seats on the 2.0 SL. Perfect for those cold winter mornings!

4) Stats at your fingertips.

Upgrade to the Sentra SE-R, and you’ll get bigger alloys and cloth sports seats, but the stereo will also give you a color display of stats like oil pressure and even G-forces when you’re cornering.

5) Objects in the rear view mirror.

The SE-R upgrade package doesn’t just let you see where you’re going and how much G-force you’ve generated on the way, there’s also a rearview monitor to show you where you’ve been. Mirrors? Where we’re going, we don’t need mirrors.

6) Safety first.

All trim levels of the 2012 Nissan Sentra come complete with antilock breaks, a full complement of airbags, and active head restraints on the front seats. With luck, these are some cool features that you’ll never have to use, but it’s better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

7) Remote access.

From the 2.0 SL upwards, not only does the Sentra come with keyless entry, but also keyless ignition. It’s hard to see what practical benefit this provides the driver, but it’s hugely cool!

8) Mix and match.

Perhaps the coolest thing about the 2012 Sentra range is the extent to which its long list of snazzy features are customizable. If a leather-wrapped steering wheel and Bluetooth aren’t for you, it’s easy to find a model which emphasizes iPod interfaces and 16-inch alloy wheels instead!

9) Transmission.

The 2.0 Sentra comes with both a six-speed manual transmission and also an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The CVT boosts the mpgs to 27 city/34 highway, plus it makes a cool noise while driving. Neat!

10) Navigation.

The 2012 Nissan Sentra comes with an optional navigation system with a generous 5-inch screen. With expert directions from the system, you’ll need a new excuse for being late to events! If these reasons don’t convince you, stop by Crown Nissan of Greenville today for a test drive! We’d love to show you one of our great new Sentras!
